How to - Unbox and Set Up

You've purchased your Thermomix and it's just arrived, exciting! Now what do you do?

Here I will help you understand what is in your box, how to get set up with Cookidoo, and how to get going with your brand new Thermomix.

Inside your box:

  • Simple Ideas Cook Book

  • Instruction Manual

  • Varoma Lid, Tray and Dish (3 sections)

  • Butterfly Whisk

  • Spatula

  • Splash Guard

  • Thermomix

  • Bowl (the part with the handle and blade inside)

  • Steaming Basket

  • Measuring Cup

When unboxing your TM6, note the blue protective film on the arms. Remove this as if left on, it can eventually stick permanently and become difficult to remove.

Place your Thermomix in the perfect space in your kitchen, ensuring it is on a solid, even surface. The scales of the TM6 are in the feet, so make sure they are all touching the worktop so the scales can be precise and remain undamaged. Ideally, you should leave your Thermomix in place, but if you do need to move it, ensure that you lift rather than drag, as the feet are delicate and can damage when dragging. This can lead to your scale being inaccurate.

Once plugged in, follow these easy steps to set up your Thermomix and get ready to cook!

Step 1: Turn on your TM6 (push in the dial)

Step 2: Select your language and location

Step 3: Connect to your WiFi network

Step 4: Log in to your Cookidoo account.

Your Thermomix is now synced with your Cookidoo account, and any recipe you create or assign to your week will now appear on your Thermomix ready to make. Happy cooking!

Tips and Tricks:

  • Keep your TM6 on a solid flat surface to ensure accurate scale readings

  • If your TM6 is placed under your cabinet, use your varoma lid to redirect the steam by slotting the lid into the handle on top of the TM6.

  • If you are going to be moving your TM6 around your work surface frequently, consider purchasing a slider board from the Vorwerk e-shop.

  • Although your Thermomix comes with a Simple Ideas cook book, these recipes are all on your Thermomix too!
